Puja
Samagri checklist & simple vidhi
A commonly followed outline. Families and regions differ, and timings should follow your local panchang — treat this as a helpful starting point, not a universal rule.
Prepare the space
Clean the altar, spread a fresh cloth and arrange the idol or laddu gopal with a small jhula. Keep the puja thali ready.
Sankalp & invocation
Light the diya and incense, take water in the right palm and quietly state the intention of the puja before inviting Krishna as a guest of the home.
Abhishek
Bathe the idol gently with panchamrit and then clean water, dry it, and dress it in fresh clothes and ornaments.
Shringar & offerings
Offer flowers, tulsi, fruits, makhan-mishri and sweets. A peacock feather and a small flute are commonly placed beside the idol.
Aarti & jhulan
Sing aarti and bhajans, rock the jhula gently, and share the prasad with family and neighbours.
Mini game
Tap the matki to break it!
A gentle, playful nod to dahi handi — tap or press Enter on the matki.
